Hi
I want to fit new shockers to my Patrol GU Station wagon with a stock standard
suspension
The vehicle is mostly used for highways, corrugated dirt roads and rough tracks. I travel loaded with
bush camping gear, food and
water for 2 people and do not tow a trailer.
What brands of shockers give good service and what brands should I avoid?
Cheers
Phil

How long is a piece of string??
Monroe have been in the game for a very long time..
The fact that they have remained in business for so long suggests to me that they are good at what they do...
Aaand.... they are made right here in Oz!
Well worth a look, IMO... (YMMV)

Ed, just a story. A relative asked me to look over his 60series yesterday before he does the Canning. I looked at the Old Man Emu shocks (made by Monroe), and wondered how old they were - turns out they were put on 25years ago, and are apparently still working fine.

Go EFS. Great product at a great price.
I can't fault them.

I have always been happy with my Konis and Kings.
This is now my fourth 4WD and touch wood no problems at all todate. Carries load
well, great articulation, adjustable and rebuildable (so I have been told).
Fair price...a little more expensive then sum, but for me they have been worth every penny.
Good luck with your setup.
Brett...

Must agree, Koni shocks and King springs do it for me.

I did used to run EFS but 2 of them died after one trip on the
Oodnadatta track, they were less than a year old.
They did fix them as a warranty claim but that isn't much help in the middle of nowhere.

Used to have Rancho but upgraded to Konis about 2 months ago and so far I am very happy with Koni's and if you have the money then go for the Konis
They can be rebuild in a couple of years for very cheap

Hi
Don't buy the foam filled shockies
Although they are the latest thing, the foam breaks down

I have also heard they cause damage by being to hard.
Cheers Pete
