Hi there Willem, great photos and history to go with them. Makes me wonder how far along that track they got in that second photo ?? Look what they had back then to what we have available now makes you wonder wether we need all the stuff we have on hand. In saying that Im sure my wife wouldnt leave the house for any trip if I was to rock up home in that and say we were going to the Alice in it LOL. I can hear her now, what !! no air, no power steer, and where are we going to store the porta loo and it was probably not 12 volt so wouldnt be able to run the hair dryer through the convertor Oh my god LOL. LOve to see that do the same track as in the first pic and compare to a modern day 4b, I reckon not a lot of difference.

Did you notice there were no chips in the tyre. Seems that they didn't suffer the same fate as travellers today. Probably Dunlops or the like.
