Gday,
The last few days I have been having trouble opening exploroz,
Apparently a Nortons Phishing protection program was blocking it.
I have contacted them and have been told there will be a patch on live updates in 4 hours time.
Anyone haveing the same problem might want to update their Nortons at about 3.00pm Nt time.....
Cheers

Hi John
Norton and Symantic are terrible. AVG is not bad for a free version. But by far the best is Nod32. World no.1 for the last 5 or 6 years, but it is $ 90.00 per year. Sounds expensive but as the old saying goes, You get what you pay for.

Hi John,
I now only use Adaware and ZoneAlarm. I hope that my careful choice of websites, my ISP and Microsoft stop any other unwanted virus problems at the moment. I have two laptops and only use one online, the other one can never be compromised.

I just updated our laptop Norton - to PC-Cillin. It's way better as it doesn't seem to slow the puter down. We also updated Norton at work - to AGV. Norton was giving us massive problems with our CAD software, as did CA Antivirus.
Symantec make one really good product - their uninstaller!
I use Comodo Antivirus on
my home desktop.

I dumped Norton years ago. Very troublesome program.
Run CA now at $45 per year. Troublefree
I will be up your way again at the end of September. Maybe you can show me a few of your sacred sites this time around.....:-)
Cheers

Probably been 6 years since I have not used any antivirus software.
Used to have all sorts of probs with the computer and had to reinstall windows regulary.
I have 2 computers. Only the laptop goes on the web. The desktop stays offline.
Now I simply leave no vital information on the laptop and use a seperate portable external hard drive that are very cheap these days ($120 for 120gig)
My laptop is fast and this one I have had for 18 mths now without a prob.
To be honest I wouldn't bother with any

I have used AdAware for years now. It is free and reliable for me. Download from the net. Norton slowed our computer to a crawl and cost $99 a year. AdAware is free to private users. Norton sent countless false virus warnings in order to justify its cost, no thanks ,not any more.

Ive been ESETnod32 fora few months ,seems ok.

Norton was a pita and the free versions of antivirus ware are as good as the money you paid for them.

Well that was the first problem using Nortons, Havn't used Nortons for a long time due to similiar results, I think Norton writes the program that way to detect any damn thing to justify its cost. Get rid of Nortons and install Adware free edition its very good or AVG is a top program also free

avg free with option to pay for full service. I run the free version and had no trouble at all. tempted to upgrade but I dont think I need all the extras that might slow me down.
AVG is popular pprogram
