qubert
we went to the lakes resort in
darwin on the weekend. payed top daollar for a cabin. turned up there on saturday to find it was / is a dump.
water slide is a health
hazard, pool is a health
hazard, cabins where very dirty , and to top it off there were no aquatic
recreation vehicles going, ( paddle boats where broken, canoes had
water leaks , owners where grumpy ) that place is a dive ( economically ) ........excuse the punn.

Some friends of ours are
camping there right now. My lovely Missus Bongo went out there today to visit them.
The pool was cold by Top End standards but in good repair and clean and the kids were having a ball on the slide.
When the managers were asked about the canoes and paddleboats they were told to just ask and they would send a supervisor down to the lake to
well "supervise".
Mrs Bongo had to use the amenities and they were excellent and clean.
Excellent
camp sites with
places to light a
camp fire.
Missus Bongo wants to stay with friends.
What really got up your nose qubert? Mrs Bongo's experience is soooooooooooooo different to yours!!!

And the managers or Lakes Resort were at all times polite and courteous. Steve we need positive people in our Territory not negative .....

How is it a health
hazard? Mrs Bongo said everything seemed OK to her. Very easy to slander on a
forum such as this! I'll see if I can get out there and share your concerns with the management later in the week; perhaps I might be able to take a few few photos of the kids having fun and the excellent facilities.
