I have our trip all mapped out in Ozi and Tracy wants me to print a copy each for the kids so as they can see where we are going each day.

No matter what I do I dont seem to be able to print from within Ozi, either the PC hangs, gives an error saying not enough disk space or sometimes wants to print 2000 pages.

Its quite a large area we are covering, but would like to be able to print the trip out for the kids, with hopefully some details such as place names etc on the map as well.

If anyone has a suggestion I woulod very much appreciate it. I did suggest to SWMBO that they could follow along using paper maps to which she responded "not good enough"...LOL. She just wants them to have a A4 size print out of the proposed trip.

Cheers

1 Display the map in OZI
2 Zoom so you can see the area you want to print
3 File - Print - Print map image
Print map dialog box opens
4 Press button (with mouse click) on left side of dialog
popup "Select area to print.....
5 Select area you want to print on map. Draw box with left mouse button pressed
6 Set pages to 1 wide 1 deep (or whatever you want)
7 Press preview button
If you like what you see -
8 Press print button

I cant zoom small enough to print the area I can see as it is pretty much the entire state of WA with some of the NT thrown in.

Select window to fit page in the print map page. IE after you have zoomed in or out as required. You can do this each day for just the area that you intend to travel.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

I'd plot it on a map of australia if you have one and print the section needed

Buy a map of Australia from the Newsagents - only a couple of dollars and it is about A1 size.

What about just selecting the area/s you need, and doing a screen copy into paint, then saving as a jpeg and printing that ?

Thats one that I am going to try before buying a paper version as it just might work. The things we do to keep the kids interested and SWMBO happy :)

Eric

Nope still doesnt want to play, get a dialogue box with something about not enough something or other. Driving me insane and will probably go and get a small map and just plot it myself I think, far easier and far quicker.

Cheers

Richard,
Sounds to me like you are running our memory in your computer. Try printing a black & white copy instead, uses less memory.

Marty.
