As he has a welder nearby my conclusion is that he is welding up a broken chassis. At least he has used a wheel chock.
It is no surprise to me that 88 people have died through the failure of vehicle jacks. Not sure of the time frame but not that long.
Jacks are a bit like the computer hard drive, they will fail the question is when.

Dunno about that, looks like he's havin a bit of a dabble pretty close to fuel tank to me.
Just as a precaution he should chuck a coupla ropes over his jalopy and lash her down, in case she goes BOOOOM. Nick.
