hi guys

i've just picked up the Asus EEE PC 901 and i'm looking at getting Trackranger software.

can anyone give me some feedback about how they've found this?

i know Oziexplorer is an alternative but i'm really keen to look at Trackranger as well and wanted some feedback, especially from those who have used both.

cheers
Jeelan

own both programs definitely prefer features Ozi
Ozi more features and better compatability to hardware
heaps of Ozi extras available like namesearch files and stuff
Trackranger poor value for money compare to Ozi. Ozi lifetime free updates and Trackranger charge for not much improvement

I have a slightly different view to Pauls above, but then again, I've not used Ozi personally, just been in a vehicle with it for 3 weeks.

I've had TrackRanger for a little over a year now and couldn't be more happier with it and the support I've received from Advantech is first rate.

TrackRanger does everything I've wanted of it including very easy to learn and use, trip planning and WAY off track navigation.

In a nutshell, I would highly recommend.

Hi Jeelan,

I've been running Trackranger since about 2002 (various versions as they've been released) & highly recommend it.

I flirted with Ozi for a while but found it not up to the ease of use of Trackranger nor as stable.

Trackranger costs a bit more, but I think it is still better value for money.

cheers

Jeff
