just come back from my two week holiday, while away i noticed that the awning on the van has a couple of small rips on the vinyl awning up where the awning connects to the van roof and about 100mm down the side. these are on the edge facing towards the front when moving forward, they were not there before we left as i washed it down and would have noticed it. is this normal where and tear? can it be fixed with some kind of patch?
cheers shane.

Hi Shane,
We had a small tear in our awning (did the wrong thing and closed the awning when the door was ajar) we managed to get a repair glue from camac and repaired it with that. So far it has worked. Just a matter of pulling edges together with some tape spot glueing then when dry remove tape and glue remaining tear .
Hope this works good luck

Hi shane, had same problem with my awning - and it had been patched before, so I took it to a canvas repairer and had them sew a strong square patch over the area with new eyelets. Cost $40.
cheers
