Have any of you land lubbers found marine charts that can be loaded onto the Garmin Nuvi 660? I have found Shonky Maps to be invaluable off road especially as they are free. Remakably, they are even useful off shore but you would still need to use a paper chart. I am wondering if anyone has found marine charts, either free or otherwise, for the Nuvi. I am aware that Garmin produce blue charts but not sure if they will load onto a street navigator.

Hello
Best I can offer is this link.
Which Garmin GPS Receivers can load mapping?
Interesting that you rate Shonky "invaluable" because it is free. It is indeed good but keep in it only shows main trafficable roads in Aus (i.e. no streets or lower grade tracks). Don’t adopt the same philosophy for acquiring marine maps. Fortunately I don’t think anyone has acquired necessary insurance to provide free marine maps for Garmin units so it all theoretical anyway.
Cheers
