Have a look at the
views counter when the subject is about road trains there was 700 in half and hour at the time of this posting. We could say that this subject interest more people than anything else. Take em off the road and Australia as we know it will fall appart. I sure am glad most of us have the common sense to give them the road.

Without all the truck drivers we are screwed.
Yes there are some rogues out there, they are the ones that give all the decent and responsible drivers a bad name. We have to remember that the truck drivers also have to deal idiots in vehicles on a daily basis and it must drive them to frustration. Those of us who are not driving 50 to 60 tonne of vehicle on a daily basis are in no position to judge any truck driver. My suggestion, if you know someone who is a truck driver, go for a run with them, and see from their perspective, and I guarantee it will change your perspective on what they have to deal with and how you drive your vehicle around trucks.

I grew up with trucks. My father still in his 60s drives b-doubles from Bris to
Perth. My husband drives 3 trailer road trains in Cooper Basin. I have lost my nerve to go for a run with them these days, And wont let the kids go with them as I did every school holidays. Next to police its the most dangerous profession around.

If everyone would just respect the rights of others and realise that the roads are a shared resource that will never be perfect we would have a lot less issues on the roads.
To be honest Ive driven round Aus twice and across and down it a few times and I've never felt in danger from a road train in the whole time.
I've found 99% of road users are considerate. I've had people in cars and small trucks get right off the road for me and the van, and I've got off the road and out of the way for anyone I reckon is driving for a living.

Give the truck drivers all the support you can on the 28th of July for the two week protest
And yes there are some bad ones about but there are also great ones like me who is aways helping stranded travellers and respecting your rights to the road as
well.
