Lots of visitors today - in from National Gathering at Innamincka - arrived yesterday and heading to the Simpson today, camping at Eyre Creek tonight. Here's a photo taken as they left about 1:00 today.
More EO visitors coming in tomorrow.
Weather nice, cool and sunny and clear so they should have a good time.Image Could Not Be Found

Roachie, they all asked if you had been in town and I had to tell them your sad news - they were all very sorry, except for one, who wanted to immediately ring Mr Pesty at Innamincka and tell him! Guess who that might be?

If you can't recognise the family to the right of the photo - that's because being good EO people they picked up this nice family on the track somewhere and are taking them over the SD in the Delicia!

Very funny, Phil - luckily for them (and me) I was up early this a.m., washed the hair and put the clothes on and looked like a million dollars because I wasn't expecting to be as social today as I was - had about four smokos, lunches and afternoon teas before going out to dinner at the Pub with more visitors! What a day - imagine if I'd had to do all that in the nightie and bedsocks!!!!
The MacDonald Family was here and asking about you (Big Kidz) today - Andrew's still smarting because I called you a REAL one!
Des Lexic always calls me his Golden Goddess (at least I nearly looked like one - not like the day you called in). Ray and Jen were here, Nick & Simone and the kids (Nicks parents John R
and Heather should turn up tomorrow, they are travelling with Navigator1).

So Ruth,
You retired in Birdsville for some peace and quiet in a small outback town, and you you get more visitors in a day than any of us city dwellers get in a month! At least you don't have to make those big breakfasts any more.

I couldn't do Andrew's job - I tried and in the end it was easier to specialise, so I don't blame him one bit. Haven't seen them since that trip a couple of years ago.

Cheers
phil
