Well, not really, but our 85 year old host had his mobile workshop
in a swb toyota. He was the only mechanic on the place & a good one too apparently. Personally had to engage the hubs to make
several of the hilly ascents on the Island. A wonderful relaxing,
scenic place to put in a week when you cant 4wd anymore. The
disapointment of missing Innaminka soon faded as the childbride & I had a great time celebrating the 40th anniversary. Had a bit of
bad luck though, only managed a 30 kg Kingfish on the charter
boat. Aaaah
well, life is a bit like that........oldbaz.
ps..Where are all the Innaminka reports ??

Who was the mechanic ? Was it Gower
Wilson or his son (cannot remember his name) ? Was he wearing any shoes ? I lived there for a year & Gower
Wilson never wore any, as many of the other locals didn't either. It was a big OH&S issue at the time, especially being the only mechanic !

Only know this bloke as Bill. If Gower Wilsons son is Clive...he operates a hire service..bikes etc. I thought Gower may have been lost at sea some time ago , but may have been an earlier
relative. Bill wore shoes & milks 2 cows....oldbaz.
