I finally worked up the courage to take out the bushes in my leaf springs on my 79 series and I would like to thank Phil SA and Topcat for their knowledge but I under estimated the degree of difficulty involved. It took me 2.5 Hrs per spring this morning after I finnished my last night shift. Maybe this was the problem!!! 3 broken screw drivers and 2 black thumb nails later there done and I hope i never have to do it again

I attempted that job on my old MQ.
I got one done then gave up and called a mate who is a diesel mechanic working mostly on earthmoving equipment.
Turnd out my heat was not hot enough and my hammer was not big enough. He did the second one in about 10 min and barely raised a sweat.
