Hi all,
I have just installed second battery and battery management system in our 2007 patrol walkabout. I want to install second battery outlets in the front cab and inside the rear.
I can't find an existing hole thru the firewall. Is there one? Can anybody advise?
Thanks
Swany

The Fitch is probably covering it up :-)

Hi Swany

We had the same problem recently, running Cables for the CB and
Brake Controler, I found a small Rubber Grumet in the Fire Wall on
the Passenger side big enough to pull the Aerial Cable through,
and another Grumet on the Driver side, which had to be enlarged
for the Brake Controler Cables and future wiring if needed.

Cheers
Daza

Thanks all.
Yes! I have been able to squeeze thru the tail of the large grommet behind the glove box after removing some of the tape, then retaping. The small hole to the left of the large grommet is where the CB aerial cable had been placed when I had the CB installed.
Thanks again.

Yeah, same as Dazza I ran them through the large rubber grommet behind the glove box. A real bugger if you have ABS, there's no room for an adult hand.

A perfect spot for the 2pin plug I use for 12 volt is at the bottom of the centre console at the back, basically at the feet of rear passengers. I can have the fridge in the back or on the front seat, the cable reaches.

If you had to give the airfilter box a bit of a push to get the battery tray in, be carefull you didn't break the seal at the inner guard where the air ducting is simply butted up, not a straight through pipe.

I used a TJM battery tray which fitted in well. The Piranha DBE180S battery management system appears to be working well.
Thanks again.
