Right i have a number of accesories inside cab that i need to run from the battery. What i wanted to know, is there a device out there that would enable me to just run one heavy cable inside my car to a multiple terminal block(fused) that all my appliances can then run from. I am more familiar with the Car stero game and we call them Distribution blocks, but they are generally only made for very large cable and for very big fuses. Way too big for normal 12v devices. Surely there is something that i just havent taken note of yet for this purpose.Im only new to the world of auto electrics, though i know my fair share when it comes to the audio side.

Only some small stuff
Interior Lights x 4 probably draw 5 amp max
UHF 3 amp max
Merit Plug 20 amp max

Not much but i dont really have the room to feed it all through firewall and i wanna keep the wiring neat, dont wanna go splicing into other wires or anything.

Call into your local Bursons or Repco and have a look at the Narva catalogue, (fuses and fuse accessories)
They have what you need with 6, 8 or 10 fuses, single power in.
#54430, #54432, #54434.

Yes there is, i recently installed one myself. It has one + & - and then multiple fused take offs.

I got my mine from Make Tracks in Midland WA, but most marine places that sell electrical stuff seem to have them. Warning though, they are not cheap, approx $40 each.

Thanks for the replys, ended up buying the Narva one as derek suggested, but its not the type i was after and didnt find that out till i opened it. I just wanted 1 inlet and at least 4 outlets but this is just like an bunch of inline fuses. Didnt solve the problem, but oh well.

I recently fitted 2 bussman boxes to my Landcruiser. They are 5 relays and 10 fuses although I used 5 circuit breakers to protect the relays.

It has a single bus bar so you can run 1 cable from the battery. Its also waterproof if you use the cavity plugs and wire seals.

Well that is the tricky bit !
They have a local distributor,Flexible Drive but unfortunately they distribute but don't know anything about them. They also can't be bothered finding out and returning phone calls.
I gave up and ordered them from connector concepts .com and buying 2 with all the relays,c/b,terminals and seals plus a couple of h/duty marine circuit breakers incl freight was the same price as getting them here plus I couldn't find anyone in Oz who sells mini fuse sized c/breakers. It's nice to be out bush and not worry about a blown fuse.
