Gday all

I have read on this site before about fitting a toggle switch to Isolate ABS for off roading.
Can any one tell me where and which wire I need to tap into on a GU4 to Isolate the system, the ABS has caught me out a few times now and would like the choice when to overide it.

Cheers

Yeh, I did the same thing on my last Patrol which had ABS.

I did it slightly differently...... I removed the ABS fuse and made a replacement out of a piece of PCB (printed circuit board). I soldered 2 prongs onto the small PCB which made it the same shape size as the fuse. I then attached a length of speaker cable which lead to a simple on/off switch up on the dash. I placed an in-line fuse of the same value (7.5 from memory) in the circuit too.

I also like the other idea of replacing the good fuse with a blown fuse. It's a bit more fiddly if you plan to do it every time you go off-road, but if you happen to have an accident and are worried about what your insurance company might say......it'd be easier to argue that the fuse must have blown in the crash, as opposed to having some smart-arz insurance bloke find that you've inserted an isolator......
