The initial indications for the use of the Beardmore Dam Youth Camp are good. I have recieved a reply from the co ordinator and he has indicated that the area is available and he will follow up soon with more information.

I added today to the gathering notes that if your kids have a Billy Cart then bring it along and I'll organise a Billy Cart race/Competition. The Youth Camp has a ready made track for the event.

Register or View here for the 2009 Gathering

Cheers Kev

Hey Kev

What about a Billy Cart competition for those of us who used to be kids? Only if we have an EO member on site who is a doctor, of course....

George
Come any closer and I'll rip your throat out!

If you want to bring one George then be my guest LOL
The only stipulation I'll add it is not to be motorised ;)

I may be able to get my hands on a couple locally as well

Cheers Kev

The kids wouldn't have a chance with some of these old blokes.
The extra weight is an advantage, so is the senility. No fear.

Bruce,

Tell annie that the river is about 800m west of the Youth camp and the Irrigation Channel (usually has plenty of yabbies and Yellowbelly) is about 400m to the East

So you should hopefully be well fed

Cheers Kev

At a VW meeting they had a car pushing competition.
Driver and co-driver to push their own car over 20 metres, with all of the gear they brought for the weekend.

Few tricks to lighten the vehicle etc, but you can't go too far. :o)

But then beetles only weight 860kg.
