Good evening everyone, I currently own a 1995 3500 pajero but it's time to upgrade the old girl. I am looking at a Manual VRX 2007/8. I have found a petrol one and a diesel one. The diesel is a better buy.....

My question is 'Does anyone know if a diesel engine can be converted to LPG?'

Many thanks

You can add LPG fumigation to the diesel. It means that your engine uses LPG as well as diesel, both at the same time. You can still run the motor on straight diesel BUT you cannot run the motor on straight LPG.

The LPG increases the power output of the motor as it means that you are getting a more complete burn of the diesel your engine is passing through.

In a non-LPG diesel, a larger proportion of the diesel goes through, unburnt and is wasted.

So, with LPG added to a diesel you get more power PLUS better fuel economy.

Bekall

Google "Diesel to LPG" or "Diesel to gas" using the Australia search and you'll get bucket loads, or even search this forum "diesel gas", lots of posts.
