Spotted today on Bruce highway:sedan with some contraption attached on the towbar (no trailer), carrying one gas bottle! I bet the ones travelling behind that guy are extra careful to keep their distance, once they see the gas bottle sticking out. I could not believe it, the slightest crash sees the gas bottle sqashed between the bumpers of the two cars!

Cheers
Ted

Spotted a car in the NT with a fuel tank taped to his boot lid...."long range tank"....I guess he had to let it gravity feed into car tank when he needed it.....same thing, in a collision...KABOOM!

Now why didn't I think of that.
Attach an mt and washed out gas bottle to the rear hitch and watch the tailgaters disappear.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

Saw a bloke in a early model sedan in Katherine with a second battery straped to his tow bar a couple of years back. Wished I'd taken a photo.

I reckon the Outboard motor attached to the front of the Bull Bar on a small motor home was the best. Interesting thought, they could run the motor around pedestrians might make em think before jumping out in front of the vehicle

You have implied that the gas bottle contained gas. How do you know that it wasn't used to carry water or sand or fresh-air or ashes of a dearly beloved etc etc. Some people are known to have done some strange things - this could have been one such instance.
