Hi all,
just bought an arb winch bar of ebay for my 1990 model hilux. It is supposedly the right bar for my car but i cant get it to fit properly. It sits about 30mm below the guards (like it would if i had a body lift, and about 10mm lower on the right hand side). all the bolt holes line up fine except for two on the bottom of the chassis rails.
Anybody out there want to have a guess as to why this might be happening, or had a similar problem to this?
cheers

Did the Hilux come out in 1990 with both independent front end and solid front end models ? Is the bar the correct one for the type of front end your's has ?

Mate im not sure to be honest. Im pretty sure that they did come out with an independent front in that year.
Mine is a solid axle.

All Hilux till 97 were solid axle fronts.
If it was a 4 runner they would be ifs at that year.
Sounds like it may have suffered from accident damage??
Can you do a cross check to see whats out of square, the bar, or your guards, as there can be a bit of difference on guards when there fitted, to make them all line up correctly.
