Hi Ollie, let me know how you go, me to. I have the same model Hilux and would be interested. Without sounding lazy the thought off having to fill 2 tanks puts me off however if the range increased to 800-850 Kilometers per both tanks I would be happy.

Ws quoted $4800 fitted however it isn't possible legally to fit Diesel Gas on the current model Hilux at the moment due to the kits not being legal at this point. Diesel Gas says around September they hope to be able to fit the system. They also stated they did actually fit a system on the current Hilux before it was banged on the head, no issues. The range increases by around 20% which isn't huge. Yes ok the thing would drive better but could you handle filling the diesel
tank then moving the thing over to the Gas
tank 5 minutes later. OK, call me lazy..!

Why are they not legal and is it only the diesel/gas system? Is this the same for EcoShot?

Hiya Ex
At those figures why would you bother,There pretty good in my books....By the time you recover the cost of fitting and could it hav a negative effect on the motor too down the track ???
Cheers

Hi EX,
Pretty good fuel ecomomy anyhow.I had a 130 litre long range
tank fitted to
mine .Much more convenient than filling allthe time particularily crossing the Nullabor. Also added advantage of choosing better prices wihout carrying jerries.
Cheers

HI Corio,
how did you fit a 130l
tank, did you replace the original, or put in a second one? And what cost.

Moo,
Was about 12 months ago so your price probably about right. At the time my local Toyota dealer quoted me $1395 fitted and in fact they were quoting the same
tank sourced from KN who do a lot of the modifications for mining companies but deal directly with the dealers but also the general public.
Cheers

Have 06 LUX D4D with original
tank, just thinking of increasing capacity, 130L will do fine.
