Well it's taken a few days to sort out but I picked up the cruiser today and the engine management light has stayed off so far.
The problem appears to have been too much free flow after fitting the system. It seems that the sensors were getting mixed signals as to the temp and mixture and were therefore sending error codes to the computer resulting in the engine management light coming on and poor performance.
The fix was to remove the stainless steel high flow cat.'s and replace them with high flow ceramic cat's. I'm told that this created a bit more backpressure and let the correct temperature etc build up.
The performance is still good but perhaps not quite as much sting in the tail as when the other cat.'s were fitted (not that it ran
well for too long).
Anyway I will give it a work out over the weekend and see how it goes. I will also give it a few weeks of nornal drving and work out whether or not the fuel consumption has changed etc. and post the results
Cheers and thanks to all who contributed
