hi . i just got back from 6mths in China, I see there is a significant amount of literature submited under my visitors address. It seems somewhat disturbing the amount of negative genre that has been submited under my screen name. I know who the culprit is, but i can't change my details on the explore oz web site. Does anyone know how to access the ' change my details page' on this site.I try to do it but it said 'Page Unavailable'.

Could be true, the pain Sam seemed very immature, this one seems to be more level headed. Could have been one of the kids. Time will tell.

What did you do in China. I worked in oil there in 81 for Petty-Ray about 2600 kms west of Beijing. Interesting place. Saw where they found the underground terracotta army. Saw some pics the other day and totally different there now.

Hmmmm, I'm going to temper my above comment a little.

I did a search from 1/10/2007 to 31/1/2008 and sam had about 6 posts, none of which were the normal drivel we have come to expect. Therefore his claim is possible.

However I am still highly sceptical because....

China is not a third world country anymore and he should have had internet access on his alledged six month stay.

And....

Why would someone "steal" the identity virtual unknown on the Forum. What possible benefit could there be from discrediting the reputation of a little known alias?

Just my thoughts.

Actually, a posting came up the other day from a Chinese firm flogging RFIDs, nothing to do with this forum. Can't remember what user ID they used, but obviously not a member and it was pulled by the moderator pretty quickly.

I suspect someone living in the same house. I also use auto log in.So could see how it could happen. Mind you if my young bloke tried that he would not be able to sit down for a month.

So Sams guilty, even though he has explained himself. If he wanted to "atone" anonomously, wouldn't he just re-register under a different name and start again? Nobody would be the wiser, would they? I ain't trying to inflame everyone here, just saying that he "could" be being honest with you all........ but the self-appointed Forum Police have tried and charged him 'cos they know better!

I just read another post.... um... the one about the Dalhousie Water and the skin infection, and how many guys jumped on DIO, for giving the right advice??? Even if it was a "for-a-change" thing, don't go bustin' the guy every time he posts....... cos' every now and then he's gonna make you all look sad. Like he did on that one.

Just my opinion guys, don't go shootin' me now... LOL......
