Has anyone ever put a turbo or super charger on a 2.6 litre petrol Rodeo?

If so, what type/price/results/problems did you have?

It was a 2wd 90 model Alloy tray ute... and yes went like the powers of pi$$, great, except traction. Mine was just alloy tray ute, and was a handfull in the wet before turbo, but after, it was just silly, took it off and sold it.

Which model do you have?

96 model (10/95 build) dual cab, styleside, 4WD 2.6.

Options - Out of Town 118l fuel tank, ARB winch bar, Warn 8000lbs elec winch, hayman reese towbar, K&N air cleaner.

Love it as a vehicle, a lift kit and a front locker are the only mods that it really needs. Got a whole heap of wants though lol.

One of those wants is more power.

A bit to much power for the light rear end, breaks traction to easy.

You need a RSTB like the ARB style to add a bit extra weight one the arse end, and maybe a locker in the rear as well.

But eventually I am going to fit a fibreglass canopy so the added weight of that should negate the traction problems.

These motors find their way into a lot of hot geminis with various turbos / superchargers fitted. I think one of these engines in a 2wd rodeo ute set one of the horsepower heroes records at the summernats last year. Very strong short block which can handle stupid amounts of power. Check out Zoom and some 4 cylinder mags. Brad
