I have a garmin Nuvi 760 which is a great unit, but I cant get it to read MP3 file from a SD card. It simply says searching for MP3 files.
Is there some obscure setting to enable this to happen.
The music files read OK on the computer. I also put a photo on the card but it wont read either.
Any suggestions please.

Thanks
Laura
I moved the files into a folder named MP3 but still no go
Do I need to save them as MP3 before writing them to the SD Card?
Thanks

Write them to the card, just drag and drop into the folder, what some might think is an MP3 may not be an MP3 but a WMA file, those will not work on a Garmin GPS , maybe try doing a Properties check on a file to make sure they are MP3s , another check is in the gps settings , if you press TOOLS / Media Player / Source ... and make sure it's set to MP3 and not Audible.
Let me know how you go.....

Thanks for your suggestions everyone. Unfortunately the problem still exists after checking all your recommendations.
Waiting for a reply from Garmin Tech Support.

Sorry that all the info was of no help, I was wondering if the SD Card could be the problem.
