Just wanted to get some ideas for preparation on this hike? Im planning to go in 3weeks to do it and im just looking for tips or ideas from people who have done it. idea's on food,
water, equipment etc.

No I have not walked this trail but I have driven into
places closeby and have walked up
Katherine Gorge(Nitmiluk) as far as it was possible without having to swim great lengths.
Are you familiar with a tropical climate? If so, OK.
If not then even during August the days can be quite warm and humid in the tropical north. So I would suggest you take some energy drinks with you. I have drunk the
water in the
Katherine River but you may not feel comfortable drinking the
water before boiling it.
If you are regular hiker you will know which food to carry. Aso take something warm to sleep in as the nights can still be quite cool.
