flexible replacement for telescopic antenna

Came back this avo from some fire trail driving, with even more bends in the telescopic radio antenna (ok I know I should have pushed it in). Apparently the new Jeeps come with a flexible steel antenna as standard. Sounds like a good idea, so:
Any tips for easily replacing the factory telescopic antenna with something flexible which withstands impact with branches etc? Preferably so that the telescopic antenna can be re-installed if needed (e.g pre-sale "no it's nearly never been offroad" LOL)
Ok I've seen the coathanger version, but want something more classy :-)

I've fitted a few rubber ones, they seem to have worked
well

Some Jackaroos have a stainless steel flexible one-piece whip aerial- good idea I reckon...
