I would like to take the kiddies on a camping trip somewhere along the Bowen River but am stumped when it comes to local knowledge regarding camping spots. The kiddies are slowly catching the camping bug so we don't need any facilities but would love to be near the water. Can anyone suggest a secluded spot or two or three.....

Cheers

Hi
If you are enquiring about the Bowen river that feeds into the Burdekin you do realise that there is SALTWATER CROCS there

My copy of the Hema road atlas shows the Bowen River joins the Burdekin below the Burdekin Falls Dam.

Fair enough, and I was wrong about where the Bowen meets the Burdekin.

I know they tell you there are saltys ther but I doubt it, then again I was wrong before
