Evening all,
Yesterday I was given a chip for the 2.8!! (very generous) club member :)
Anyway I installed it by making note of the wires it came off in his car and installing on the same wires in
mine. Only six so not hard.
After driving the car today it feels like it pulls better from lower RPM and generally feels stronger at all RPM.
Now the confusing bit, anyone here had one of these installed in their car? I know they use the DPchip now but this is an older style. Did they do anything else in the install eg. boost adjust ect???
I ask this as after putting it in I was getting the check engine lamp under hard acceleration and the taco drop out? then went away after 10 mins. So I left the battery disconnected over night to reset the computer and same thing this morning but went away after 10 or so minutes. Does the computer need to figure out what is happening or something???
Maybe I should disconnect it and let the pros have a look???
Any thoughts?

Try that diesel mob from Berrima on the southern tablelands (rearrange the place and diesel which will give you their name as site will not allow their business name mentioned) they are the agents for DP Chip and were also the agents for the one which looked exactly the same (can't remember the name)

They are not the agent,, its their own product and all the engineering annd setup for each model is done by them. Michael

Gday
I was speaking to a guy with a 3 litre lux and DP chip...he was getting the run around by them for the newer chip doing thesame. They were sying stuff i know to be rubbish,,,,like the chip is too fast for the std computer and thats why it throws an alarm...i think itis their bad tune charactoristics...as a result i wont ever pay for one..and would probably give away one if i had it too.
My experience is only as i mentioned, so thats probably not that much...but i dislike salesmen with no aftersales, and a pocket full of excuses...

the guy that gave it to me only did so as he had the diesel/gas installed and it was no longer needed. Just a little hard to talk to him as he is deaf......I am guessing the error is not to bad as it goes off as soon as you back off, but would like to try and figure it out. Thanks anyway
