Hi everyone,

Just back from 4 weeks at Ningaloo this week and have been confronted with a number of issue of which the Server Application Unavailable error is the most pressing and urgent.

I am working full time on this error at the moment and have a number of plans in place to resolve it however most of these take a little time to implement and test. The biggest problem is that the system just does not tell us what is going on - it just throws up the error at a random time and get progressively worse until will restart the services. It does not log anything that helps us and is just very difficult to find however rest assured that we are fully on it and will have it resolved ASAP.

Please do keep letting me know via PM to david@exploroz.com when you see the error as I may not be looking at the system at the time. I may not answer your email however I will use it to action the task of getting the system restarted - it will also help me to work out if there is a pattern to the failure.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the problem but we will get it resolved ASAP.

David

PS: It is not an overloading issue we are on a dedicated 4 cpu server platform with dedicated database system also. We have the hardware to support up to 64000 concurrent connections the error is I suspect a program bug or memory leak and I am not 100% sure if it is even in my code it may be external code. I am investigating and running load test simulations on my development servers and will get to the bottom of it.

Well funny story but we do have one picture of one of the marlin dancing on the lure about 10 metres from the boat. I will load these up soon, but I must fix the errors first.

Ah that must be a local issue to your ISP or maybe the fact that the BON website went down - my code should get past this error however I have logged a few issues at 2:05PM QLD time.
