I'm looking for a USB GPS to run on my eeePC with Ozi. Is there any feedback on the one on eBay - brand Anadigi
Anadigi USB GPS
At $10 its seems cheap, even with $32 (!!) postage.

Globalsat are a good brand and their Bluetooth model is even better than the USB version

Hello
You will probably find the Globalsat bluetooth and USB GPS units are identical in specs (from GPS reception point of view). Bluetooth option possibly best option if you anticipate reception difficulties (you can place it wherever) though standard Globalsat 5m USB cable will very likely eliminate this issue. Would myself recommend USB over Bluetooth in this instance (and many others) as it has the advantage of not requiring a separate power source and removes some inherent connection (or lack of) issues that arise on occasions with BT. Anyway, in this case USB good choice as device in question (eeePC) doesn’t have Bluetooth AFAIK.
Cheers
Greg

If you plan to run any Garmin software like nRoute, Mapsource, City Navigator or the free Shonky maps designed for Mapsource you will have to have a Garmin GPS like the GPS-18 or the Bluetooth one they do now to activate the maps.
