I've tried and I've tried and I just can't get to put my rig photo in the relevant section.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get it right?
And don't be rude!!
I keep getting the "this page can't be displayed" notice and I've been trying for months on and off.
I notice others don't seem to have any trouble changing photos etc.
I have put this question out before and as yet have not had a reply that is all that helpful.
My work PC and my home PC both tell me the same thing and I know David and Michelle are out on the track and probably get thousands of Emails anyway.
So can anyone give me the right stuff?

Don't bother!!
I just thought to search the archives and found something to try.
I'm not the only one to have the same trouble.

Willem
I love the old Vigilante, I used to have an AP6. Solid as a rock.
When I click on "upload" I get a "page cannot be displayed" notice.
I have E-mailed Info@exploroz with a photo and the other info but I don't know if there will be any-one home for a while.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
Oskar

I can't remember how I set it up the first time. To change the photo I have to go to the 'Upload' button. Then a page appears with instructions and a browse window to find your stored pic. Once you have that you click on the submit button. The hit the Update button and thereafter the Refresh button on your Browser. This of course is not happening to you.

It could have something to do with your browser setting or whether you have cookies disabled or enabled. But that is a bit beyond my capability. Hopefully some Exploroz tech-whizz can help you. Or go to Windows help and look for cookies.

My apologies for this limited information.Cheers, Willem

Oskar,
I had a similar problem and I found that the picture was too big a file more than 50k. I adjusted the picture in my software program made sure it was less than 50k and everything was good, it will be something like this, it won't be a big problem. If you are using a "modern" digital camera it doesn't take much to get over the 50k. Hope this helps.Keep the shiny side up

I had the same problem - tried everything with David's (Exploroz) help, but nothing worked. I eventually sent the photos in an Email and David attached them for me.Colin - Subaru Forester

50 Kb is the maximum size.
If your photo file is any larger than that you will not be able to display it.
I am sure that if you reduce your file all will be OKJust made it, King Edward River

Hi Oskar
Don,t know if this will help
I have digetal photo,s if saved in .PSD format = 5637 kb
same photo if saved in .JPG format = 302 kb
I then crop a section of the photo to about 49 or 50 kb
so from a 5" x 4" photo ( lets say 300 kb ) u only use 1/6th or about 50 kb .

I hope this makes sence,

Cheers

Thanks for the response
The problem I have is that when I hit the "upload" button on the "rig info" web page, I get a "can't display page" notice. I don't even get to browse for the photo I want in my photo files. Do I have to have the photo somehow "preselected"?
David (Exploroz type) has suggested it could be something to do with the "browser" I am using. Now I can understand, in principle, what he's getting at and I, sort-of, know what a "browser" is but I wouldn't have a clue what "browser" my set-up is running here because my IT wizz kid, computer professional, eldest son got married and left home.
What "browser" do you use and what context is it running in. Does he mean whether or not you are using "MS Internet Explorer" or some other "web-browser" or is it what you use to "browse" files or ......... ? I know it sounds dumb but this is one of the many things about computers that I am ignorant about.
