Shonky maps question

I have scanned lots of forums but cannot find the answer for my question. I have downloaded Shonky Maps to load on my new Garmin Nuvi 760 (when I get a SD card). However, the Shonky Maps download is in a Zipped file and I cannot unzip with 7-zip. Is there a special way to do this?

Winzip,Winrar are great programs also...Just check you downloaded the whole ZIP file not just a percentage...Click on properties and check the megabytes are the same according to what the site says it should be...

Thanks, it appears I only got a part download (approx 160MB). I tried again and got the lot this time. I have managed to view the maps in Mapsource and will now try to download to the Nuvi. Thanks everyone for the help.

What happens when you right click on the zip file, do you get a drop down box , select extract all or unzip to shonymaps.
all depending on what program you got on pc

Hi Jolo
You will also need a program such as "Mapsource", to load the maps to your Nuvi.
Also, you can load the maps straight to the hard drive of the Nuvi, if you don't want to buy an SD card.
