It is 1-30pm Qld time, and I have just drove passed our local Servo,
I know we are all sick to death about talking about Fuel Prices, BUT
Petrol is down to $1-37.9 cents per litre, and $1-33.9 with a
Woollies Discount, there are cars lined up the road for about 200mtrs
and stuff me yep Diesel is $1-75.9 per litre, whats that, 38cents
dearer, these thieving bloody Parasites are treating us Diesel Vehicle
Owners with contempt, this so called Petrol Commission mob are a
bunch of Weak Minded Pansies, I dont think the Idiot running the
thing, could tell the difference between his Mouth and his Bum,
because he is probably getting it both ways.
Cheers

I think you showed a lot of restraint with your comments. While you are in the mood you may wish to send some correspondence to this email:

What is the most trouble we could get into for say 20 4wd's running out of diesel on the only road in and out of the Shell terminal in Rose
hill? I'm starting to think i would get some satisfation out of that. Just an idea, maybe a post on all 4x4 forums ?

Hairy,
if the oil company is not moving(selling) petrol from it's terminal its not making any money, and the more people we pi$$ of the more media attention it would get. Don't forget we may be very
well subsiding the other peoples petrol.

Oh...
You mean the petrol users......
Yeah, another great Idea!
What If you suggested a national "bash petrol drivers day"???
And dont stop there what about all the other people who may be getting something better than you?
How about running your key down the side of peoples cars who are newer than yours?
Also you could try protesting so they raise the price of petrol so we all get screwed too?
I can tell youve put a lot of thought into your reply.
LOL
Cheers
Oh did I mention I was one of those people you are subsidising?
Sounds like sour grapes to me

Hi everyone, just thought you might like to know that diesel is about 1.10 a litre and unleaded is about 0.98 a litre here in China.
Mind you the oil companies and chinese government have a handshake deal whereby the oil company complains that they are forced to sell it at less than cost, and then the govt gives them a subsidy once a year to make up for it. Welcome to communist regime struggling to meet capitalist needs. Sinopec and PetroChina both post a net loss on sales until the govt gives them their subsidy. They got about 9 or 10 Billion dollars as once off subsidy just a few months ago if im right. Then again, I am often wrong.
Im definitely right about the costs I listed in my first paragraph though. I drive past the gas station each day on way to work so its easy to see.
Matt

Don't get yourselves too worked up boys. Remember in QLD although the petrol/fuel prices are slightly cheaper, other associated costs (motoring) are higher than some (most) other States. But why continue to worry and sweat about the costs. The price of oil is currently in decline and lower pump prices are starting to appear. Gee when some people spend $3,000+ for fuel alone on a single trip I really don't believe that recent higher prices have had any affect on changing motoring/travelling habits.
