Thanks to those that helped me before. I ended up with a set of 55w Halogen Lamps mounted low.
I have a switch as suggested by Roachie so I can light up the area behind the vehicle, independent of being in reverse.
It works a treat.
Now a query for the 12v gurus
I have a 10 amp fuse in the relay coil circuit but i feel this is a little too high, should i drop to 5 amps to ensure it blows before damaging wiring?

just did the calcs
assuming both lights are through the one fuse
55W x 2 = 110W
so using P=VI where P = power in watts and V = voltage and I = current in amps
110=12I
110/12=I
I= ~ 9.2Amps
so i would stick with the 10A fuse
if the lights are fused seperately, then a 5A fuse would be OK
