Well probably not an urban myth (or rural myth?) as I have heard it from 3 different sources.
Anyone else heard it? Last month or so someone is or has taken a standard caravan up the CSR and is relying on the goodwill of passersby to pull him/her over the dunes.
I heard it from
Kiwirrkurra, Kunawaritji, and from the plumber at work in
Perth, who had a mate tell him.
Cheers
Alan

Try a search of this site. Someone posted that recently. I think whoever helped them burnt their winch out.

The original post is
mine. My mate helped him for several days and burnt out his winch. He is sill in the
Kimberley and due home in two weeks. I will get the whole story then. He thought the guy (who was by himself) may have been evading either the law or his ex wife or both - hence the reason he was on the csr heading north and then east

just completed the CSR can verify there was a standard caravan at Kunawaritji as we headed south and there were numerous scrape marks on the track as a result of the caravan being hauled along the track. TOTALLY unsuited for the CSR . I would eventually like to hear the full story of how he went.
