You can take the dog to Stockton Beach. Don't know about the fishing.

It's blowing a gale up here at the moment but the forecast is for it to ease of as the day goes on. I reckon it would blow the dog out of the back of the ute right now. As far as fishing, the general rule is the further South you go the better the fishing.. But don't go past the wreck. Just look for a nice channel and have a go.

good luck

Hi ryno,
Tessa has pretty well covered it, anywhere down around the wreck of the Sygna is a good start.

Locate yourself a nice gutter pulling water back into the deeper stuff, make sure there's some white water action too.

Buy yourself a few frozen beach worms for bait as this will pretty much guarantee a feed of decent fish. Throw the undersize stuff back too please.

A couple of hours before high tide until about an hour into the runout should see you right.

Don't be afraid to move spots if the changing tide kills off the water movement in your gutter.

As to the dog, I'd check with the NPWS as it's administered by them now days. My only comment is keep it under control and don't let it crap all over the beach, there's enough sheite left up there by thoughtless people now without extra's.

And for goodness sake, let some air out of your tyres. It's far easier on your vehicle and the trails than the 50psi Sunday crowd ever realise.
