Hi Sleepy1
If you get hold of 2 stop/tail lamp holders. insert them into the rear back lights, wire them up and you are in business. That is all I did on my previous Pajero.
Cheers

Is it the same for the patrols??
I have seen a few with working hi-level tail lights but as sleepy, I have not looked at them yet

Hi Mike
The lamp holders that I obtained were in fact GMH parts. It is a job that any handy man can do. The only other thing that I should have mentioned is that I had to go to a higher fuse (from memory from 10amp to 15amp), as I still had the original lamps in place, and when I put my brakes on, the extra 2 lamps blew the standard fuse. After that, no problems at all.
Cheers
Stephen

Depends on what model you have, however in many case the tail-light needs to be drilled to fit the bulb holder as it doesn't have the "hole" as such.
Check out the
Pajero 4wd Club of Victoria Forum for details on your model and how to do it.
I understood the reason for the lack of brakelights up there was due to the spare wheel location and it obstructing the view of said lights.....theoretically should be no issue if having all 4 working (though i don't know if this is considered legal or not)
