I am about to detail one of my GXL's For Sale, as I am going to get another OKA.
It has some small area stains in the carpet that are quite ugly, mostly ground in grime, I have them covered by another layer of carpet, but I need to get rid of them, so as I can sell it.
Does anyone have any clever ideas as to removing the stains please.
Thanks in advance Steve.

Hows it going Steve,
I have used the upholstery tool on the carpet cleaners for hire at shopping centres. If you pull the seats out it makes it very easy , they also sell pretty good cleaning stuff to take out stains.

G'day Steve
When i had my GQ Patrol i had a bad stain in the rear carpet that i was having trouble getting rid of, i found degreaser the best thing to use , then simply washed it afterwards with some hot soapy
water. To fluff the pile back up i used a hacksaw blade, just run it across the pile , worked a treat, made the carpet look brand new....Hope this might help...
Cheers.....Borgy

Steve we use a product called 101 which quickly removes stains from carpet. We also use it as a bug remover. It is a citrus based product and we buy it from a van saleman that comes arround once a month. It is a product you should always have on hand. We spray it on a stain and rub off with a rag and 9 times out of 10 it is gone. Also great for cleaning tyres. BUT do not put it on an alloy bullbar, it etchs into the alloy.Other then that go to a auto store and buy some carpet cleaner.
Cheers Pete

Hello Steve, I am a commercial cleaner & would suggest you firstly give it a real good vacuum to get rid of dust particles. Go to your local dry cleaner & see if he will give or sell you about half a litre of stabilised Perchloroethylene (whew!!) It is commonly known as premium grade dry cleaning fluid.
Stick a pair of gloves on, grab a clean cloth, roll it into a bit of a ball, soak it with the chemical and use a "dabbing" motion on the stains. And hey presto! stains gone & no residues. Hope that helps.

Gday Steve,
You must be impressed with the OKAs?
As for the stain....Ive always been a beleiver of "prevention is better than cure".....
My last car had that much rust that when you dropped a beer on the floor it went straight through the covering and run out the bottom. Never got a stain.
LOL
Have you tried vinegar and salt?
Cheers
