WE have one and find it great, you can have a nice warming fire with out using a heap of timber. Great for the
camp oven, ours sits in the top just nice, the bbq plate probably is only big enough to
cook for two to three. We carry ours in the van.
Cheers Bruce

Hi Matt,
We have one. Bought it at the Caulfield show. It gives off a good heat, useful for cooking and warming too. The legs come off, and the chimney comes to bits and all fits into the belly for travelling. It all goes into a bag just a little bigger than a green shopping bag. We take it in the camper.
Cheers,
Jeannie

Matt
No don't have one
To my mind it is just another
camping gimmick. You still have to light the fire. It is a good idea however for those who may be inclined to buy it.
More stuff to carry around, pack up and get your hands full of charcoal....lol And it has to cool down before you pack it away!! An open fire with a BBQ plate or Triangle pot/billy holder is just as efficient and would need less space.
Cheers

I think they are a great idea and i am about to make my own mainly because my 4x4 trailer has two, 9kg bottles and history tells me that one is more than plenty. I am going to make
mine so nothing protudes outside the bottle so as i can use the second bottle holder(just slip it back in and tighten the holder), and lucky also that one of my bottles just expired... I have been to a few
places that dont want fires other than provided fireplaces, so it may serve me
well in that instance.. I believe that they dont draw particulary
well so i guess i will see, maybe work out how to get it working better.. It may be a novelity, maybe not.. I guess time will tell. If its not what in the end, i will remove the bottle holder and build a couple more Jerry holders on the front. Michael
