Did the full Darling River Run a fortnight ago. The river down from Bourke was a string a stagnant holes with lot's of green algae. Some stretches looked O.K.

Bottom line is that the river is under stress.

Michael.
Travelled down through Louth 4 weeks ago on our way to the Flinders.Road between Bourke & Willcannia in good condition.
Those inland river towns certainly have some great history.
Enjoy the races.
Cheers.
