The RV Lifestyle Feedback

I note the motorhome pictured here is right under a tree. Some trees, especially gums, have a propensity for dropping limbs and causing injury or damage. It could be that the angle of the photos makes it appear the vehicle is right under the tree when in fact it is some distance out from the tree canopy.

Red Gums are one of the worst. We normally pick smaller younger trees to camp under for shade.

We only get out in the winter months so we are normally not looking for shade.

When I was a kid we went skiing at Lake Bonney. A gum dropped a huge bough on some blokes brand new Valiant - right across the roof. We've had a few big limbs drop at our shack on the Murray. One just missed the roof but busted the concrete up. Another fell where our boat was a few days earlier.

They go without notice quite often.
