Plug these coordinates into google maps -27.649600, 141.019290 and zoom into at least the 5th notch and there is small village with all the street names of members the Burke and Wills expedition team. Whats weird is there no visible streets in the satellite image.
Could this be the google maps team dedication to these great
explorers?

It wouldn't happen to be part of the planning for the
sign in my rig pic??
Cheers Kev

I was there in 2004. From memory, but I could be wrong, there was some kind of
camp on the way to
the Dig Tree. Was it a station that offers accommodation? Can't remember.
Must say, when I went there I had this sense of something unexplainable.

Google maps will recognise these numbers as decimal degrees lat/long as opposed to a normal street address. So you can just copy and paste the numbers into the google maps search field, an easy shortcut is to highlight what you want to copy then press "control C" than place cursor in search box and press "control V" to paste the numbers.
There is a track that runs through the area and is about 8 kms SW from
the dig tree. Hey these photos can be quite old maybe you might come across a "roaring metropolis". Have a good trip.
