We are planning a trip to
Currawinya in a couple of weeks. We're travelling with our daughter & SIL who have a Subaru Outback. Wondering if anyone knows what the
Bourke -
Hungerford road is like? Also the 4WD track out to the lakes?

I can't give you a recent update on the road, but generally the Bourke/
Hungerford Road is a good dirt road and no problem for your vehicle.
Providing there has been no rain the road to the lakes will also be okay. We normally
camp at the
waterhole near
the Woolshed just out of
Hungerford, a great spot so enjoy.

Like the Landy, haven't been that way this year but is normally pretty good, Suby should handle easy if dry.

We were there mid June and came in from
Eulo stayed in the
park for 4 days the road were all OK a little corrugated on the main road through to
Hungerford but we were towing a van and had no problems. As for the roads around the
park they were in very good condition. The Main roads were working their way south so you my have a good run.It was a top spot don't miss the
Caiwarro Ruins go across the causeway and go to the Pump Hole some great
camping spots.ENJOY
