Hi John
I believe you can only do this with a Motorola 9505 series sat phone on the Iridium network, and I think a Telstra post-paid sim with international roaming is required.
Cheers, John

Correct but you can also use a 9500 but it must be an Iridium phone
No Global cr*p will do it

The Iridium phones can also be used with an Iridium pre paid SIM. Around $250 for 75mts and only valid for 1 month, the validity and number of minutes can be extended at a price.
Such cards are availiable from many sat
places in Australia, or direct from the States.
As Globalstar and Iridium are very different
services, such cards cannot be used in Globalstar phones.
