Hey All..
It never use to be all the time, but it is getting a bit too regular now..
The transfer case is not engaged in anyway to lock in the front hubs but the lights will come on and flash as if they are engaged. Occasionally I can start the car and drive and the lights won't flash at me, but nine times out of ten now upon start up and all driving they are flashing at me as if locked in. I have no idea why it is doing it and it is really starting to give me the chites!!!
Yeh it could be the paj saying " get me on the dirt it's been too bloody long", but somehow I don't think so!!
Any ideas people?

Hi there,
My Paj flashes the lights when it isn't engaged properly and they come on solid when they are.
Mine is a 94 model so may be different to yours. The 4WD selector lever isn't half engaged is it, so it is sensing a false reading?

93 NH.. you don't even have to touch the lever for it to say it is engaged. But no, lever is total down where it should be.

On
mine they flash only when they are being changed from 2WD to 4WD, otherwise they are a solid green, either 2 or 4, but certainly not flashing.
Probably a sensor problem, try the pajeroclub
forum.Someone there will probably know .

Hi Jo,
Long time no hear.
I would get Mark to pull the electrical connection to the 4wd sensor, give it a spray of wd40 or similar, re-connect it up and see what happens. If it is intermittent, it sounds electrical so this would be my starting point.
I hope it is this simple for you.
Regards, Trevor.
