Radio Inteferance

Hi Guys,
i have installed a car radio in my caravan but I am getting very bad interferance on the radio due to fluro lights. Can anyone suggest a supressor that would fix my problem???????

We found we had the same problem in the boat with the cheep fluorescent lights. The better quality lights don't seem to be a problem. I would try to new Triphospor PL type fluorescent lights or if that fails go back to incandescent lights.

Yep....the $130 Piranha and Versalites do it too. Nature of the beast it seems ... have not seen comment anywhere about suppression.
Might write to Piranha if I can find them.Gotta have red sand on those boots !

A bit of lateral thinking....Try some high powered LED's. They draw stuff-all current for the light output they give, don't blow out (not in your or my lifetime anyway - 50000 hrs) and could be made to fit any shape/size that is required. Look in some spare parts shops for styles similar to automotive lights, or Tricky Dickies and the like if you want to home brew/experiment yourself.
