On the way to the
supermarket in Gisborne today, I could see snow on top of Mt Macedon. So Tegan & I took a detour. It was the first time she had seen snow like this - settled and a white world and she thought it was fantastic. The road to the
Memorial Cross was closed, so I assume it was pretty thick up there, so we turned into the picnic areas off the Lions Head Rd, it was very busy with sight seerers - many in std 2wd cars, and I reckon by the end of the day some would get bogged. It was lovely up there, but I was very glad to be in a warm Landcruiser for our decent.

Global warming caused it Lyn. Nice pics of the snow though. We just had more rain this way and the soil is already saturated so we are getting more run off. The river is running out to sea again now.
Youall keep warm there.... ;-)))

I'm glad it got warm then to make it snow...very very very wet here, so hopefully that new 150K Litre
water tank of ours is getting a bit of
water in it.

We have been getting the freezing cold here so you can get the snow. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Oh
well as long as you get some good rains and snow in the catchment areas, we will be happy to suffer LOL
We've had about 20 points over the weekend so at least it hasnt forgotten how to rain.

I bet Tegan was thinking "hurry up and take the photo mum, so I can get back in the warm car" LOL
I also see the Darkside vehicle back on the road as
well, hopefully it wont happen again.
Cheers Kev

Yup and I was busy being organised into running the oldest boy's birthday party at the time.....
Wouldn't mind a bit more of it in the nearby hills as the kids love it.
