Hello

I am about to buy a new Prado VX (petrol) in the next few months and have just been doing some pricing research and have a few questions.

Lets say it is $75,000 on road with extras, What is an average % i should plan to get the sales man down to? and if i cant i should walk !!

Does anyone know what the waiting list is for a Prado at present? Is it still 3+ months.

thank you
Brent

And the average waiting time in SA is 5 - 6 months. Unfortunately, the dealer will be aware of this too, so if you dont buy at his price - it wont be long before someone rolls up who will!!

Wont be much (if any) movement on price, Late model secondhand ones are just the same too. Thats for diesels though.

Petrol models might be different though.

Cheers, Matt

I was talking to a salesman at Grand Toyota in Perths northern suburbs yesterday about a Prado and he advised that they'd recently had a delivery of 3 which was very unusual as they'd expected to get only 1 of the batch they'd ordered.
He also said there was some room for negotiation on price as "sales had dropped off a bit" which is probably the reason for their extra vehicles being delivered.
Could lead to some decent price reductions or goodies being thrown in and I'm off to see them this afternoon.
Happy bargaining.
Alan.

Brent,

Pradopoint has a thread on it regarding delivery times. I also recall a thread re prices paid. If it it a factory order, then you will probably be waiting 3 months. Thats how long my D4D took when I ordered it earlier this year. If you need any info on Prados, the above site is excellent.

Cheers
