Hi Garny,
We've had our Cruisliner for a few years now.
We mainly stick to the bitumen though.
I would not describe them as "offroad" campers but "gravel road" or all road capable campers. If you had serious off road in mind then you'd looking at TVans and the like.
We've done only about 50 or 60k's on gravel roads - like when the last few k's to a
camp ground or national/
state forest turn to gravel (Goomburra,
Carnarvon Gorge etc) -and while some of these have been very dusty and the outside caked in dust, no dust has crept in at all.
I cannot vouch for how they'd go over many, many k's on dirt though. We tow with an AWD, not 4WD and we are very aware of "horses for courses".
Overall we are very pleased with the Avan which we purchased to replace our 20 something year old tent that was wrecked in a storm. We spent last X-mas at Boreen Point in near cyclonic winds and very heavy rain and stayed nice and warm and dry (and got a lot of reading done!).
The boot on Cruisliner is a must - we could not do with it.
As for speed of erection, that's legendary now for the basic set-up. However, like most ppl, we like to set up outside for cooking and eating, this still takes a bit extra time.
HTH's,
Kel
